More than a decade ago, we advocated for a definitive and complete list of lawyers and attorneys in the Philippines, after receiving inquiries from the public as to the identities of certain persons representing themselves to be attorneys and then disappearing into the night after getting money from those hapless individuals. We noted that there was then no official law list on the website of the Supreme Court . We stopped updating this post when the High Court put up its official list. We noted lately, however, that the list has been lagging behind by a year or two, so we decided to update this post to include the latest list of successful bar examinees to round up the complete list. To immediately contact a lawyer, CLICK HERE. Just as in the original post, there is a link to a Microsoft Excel list of lawyers from 1901 to 2009 and a supplemental list of new lawyers from 2010 to April 2020. We will update as soon as the list of new lawyers for 2020 are released by the Supreme Court. The annual bar examinations were given in November 2019. Both lists are in alphabetical order with the added advantage of scrolling through the list by year. The masterlist does not include lawyers and attorneys who may probably be deceased already or who may not be actively practicing law. Readers may click on the following links for information purposes only. It is strongly encouraged that any interested person should seek official certification from the Supreme Court of the Philippines or the Integrated Bar of the Philippines if they doubt the credentials of a particular attorney. We believe that any list of lawyers and attorneys can still be improved by including categories of lawyers and attorneys in the Philippines of good standing with both the Philippine Supreme Court and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, less those who have passed on to final judgment and definitely weeding out those who did not even pass the Philippine bar but who are passing themselves off as lawyers and attorneys.
As an update for 2022, the Supreme Court of the Philippines did not hold bar examinations for 2020 and 2021 but held one in February 2022. It is not yet certain if the High Court will hold another bar examinations in 2022 for law students graduating this year. We will post the results of the latest bar as soon as they are made available.
